About nine kilometers north of Marawi City lies the Municipality of Saguiaran, where a group of M’ranao women farmers from different barangays organized themselves and established the Saguiaran Turmeric Organization.
The Bamboo Landers Multi-sectoral Rural Workers Association is a multi-sectoral organization with ten active women members based in Buadiposo Buntung, Lanao del Sur.
Almaira Batua-an, an advocate of women’s economic empowerment, is the current president of the Kamapiyaan o Pagtao Ago so Ingud Association, an organization composed of women farmers in Dibarusan, Balindong, Lanao Del Sur.
In Barangay Batangan, Bubong Lanao del sur, a group of women farmers led by Amerah Manapar established Batangan Farmer Workers’ Association.
