Did you know that social enterprises are eager to champion gender- and care-responsive practices?

Did you know that social enterprises are eager to champion gender- and care-responsive practices?

Like most Filipinos, the majority of social entrepreneurs believe in gender equality and espouse progressive gender norms. This belief, however, does not fully translate to practice. Our baseline survey uncovers that 80% of social enterprises and their value chain organizations believe in gender equality, while only 20% practice equal sharing of unpaid care and domestic work (UCDW).

The EmpowerHer project, in partnership with Investing in Women, seeks to address this gap by working with Filipino social entrepreneurs and their value chain partners through a community of practice we call WEE Connect.
