We helped women gain access to and control over productive resources so that they could improve their economic status and well-being. This includes addressing the issue of unpaid care work which prevents women and girls from being economically empowered.
Within countless households across the Philippines, domestic workers provide essential care work for other families so their own families may live. And yet, they are among the most vulnerable and underappreciated workers in the country. Long hours, below-minimum wages, little to no social protection, and, in extreme cases, outright abuse characterize their experience.
