Oxfam Pilipinas shared the results of its 2025 #AnticipatoryAction activations across three typhoons (#OpongPH, #TinoPH, and #UwanPH) at an after-action review organized by the National Anticipatory Action Technical Working Group’s Learning and Evidence thematic sub-working group, co-led by the Start Network and the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) on 14 April 2026.
Participants from the government, United Nations agencies, and international non-governmental organizations shared the socio-economic impacts of anticipatory action, as well as good practices, lessons, and recommendations to strengthen and scale anticipatory action in the Philippines, as mandated by Republic Act 12287, or the Declaration of State of Imminent Disaster Act.
Oxfam Pilipinas has been championing anticipatory action since 2017. It collaborates with multisectoral partners and explores innovative strategies and applications of Anticipatory Action.
