OCD, Oxfam Pilipinas, PDRRN finalize Maguindanao del Sur plan for continuous public service amid disasters

The Civil Defense BAR, together with the People’s Disaster Risk Reduction Network, Inc. and Oxfam Pilipinas, finalized the Public Service Continuity Plan of Maguindanao del Sur in a technical workshop on 14-16 April 2026.

The plan identifies essential functions for public service continuity in the province during disasters, calamities, and conflicts, each with defined triggers and thresholds for activation and deactivation.

Oxfam Pilipinas is committed to working with partners to help build resilient communities across the country.

Talisay City community leads post-Typhoon Kalmaegi clean-up drive in Cebu

Residents affected by Typhoon Kalmaegi (local name: Tino) in Barangay Lawaan II, Talisay City, Cebu, led in a community clean-up drive as part of the post-typhoon recovery efforts with Community Organizers Multiversity and Oxfam Pilipinas.

Concepcion Morilla, 62, is one of the project participants who received Php 10,000 cash aid from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, with Coastal Core and Oxfam Pilipinas. Cash aid helps Aurora households rebuild after multiple disasters

The Community Organizers Multiversity and Oxfam Pilipinas, with funding support from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), distributed multipurpose cash assistance to families in several barangays in Dipaculao, Aurora last week.

Oxfam Pilipinas, Local Climate Change Adaptation for Development, and the UP Resilience Institute are set to collaborate to integrate anticipatory action into local climate adaptation planning and conduct a parametric insurance study to support disaster risk financing. Currently, it co-implements the Mayon Anticipatory Action Project with People in Need Philippines , Simon of Cyrene Community Rehabilitation and Development Foundation, Inc., MIDAS/Mayon Integrated Development Alternatives and Services,Inc., Coastal CORE, Incorporated, and Oxfam Pilipinas, with support from the Start Network.
