Reduced water availability for household consumption, crop failures because of soil drought, and frequent power interruptions that affect home-based livelihoods are among the challenges faced by many households in Camalig, Albay. Through the project "Anticipatory Action Assistance for Mayon Volcanic Activities and Drought," Oxfam Pilipinas and MIDAS/Mayon Integrated Development Alternatives and Services,Inc. provided multipurpose cash assistance to 75 vulnerable households from Barangay Sua, Camalig, including elderly individuals, solo parents, and families with members who are persons with disabilities, on 30 May 2026.
