Inilunsad noong ang Care Connect Project ng Oxfam Pilipinas, katuwang ang Pambansang Koalisyon ng Kababaihan sa Kanayunan (PKKK), Pamahalaan ng Canada, Oxfam Canada, at mga lokal na organisasyon sa bayan ng Wao noong Agist 7, dalawang ara bago ang International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples..

Oxfam Pilipinas, Pambansang Koalisyon ng Kababaihan sa Kanayunan (PKKK), together with the Government of Canada, Oxfam Canada, and local organizations, launched the Care Connect project in Biliran on July 24, 2025, emphasizing the need to recognize care work as real work and institutionalize care programs and policies at the local level.

Within countless households across the Philippines, domestic workers provide essential care work for other families so their own families may live. And yet, they are among the most vulnerable and underappreciated workers in the country.  Long hours, below-minimum wages, little to no social protection, and, in extreme cases, outright abuse characterize their experience.
