A magnitude 7.8 quake struck 62 km southwest of Maasim in Sarangani province, Southern Philippines today. Since then, over 120 aftershocks have been recorded across the Philippines as of 4:15 pm.

Anticipatory action champion and pioneer in the Philippine civil society Oxfam Pilipinas is in action again for anticipatory action in Albay in May 2026.
