To celebrate Earth Day 2026, Oxfam Pilipinas joined the 𝗬𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗲𝗱𝗼: 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻 on 22 April in Salcedo, Eastern Samar.
The activity brought together youth leaders, the local government of Salcedo, and civil society organizations that champion climate action and disaster resilience in Eastern Samar.
Oxfam Pilipinas Climate Justice Portfolio Officer, Engr. Ronan Napoto, joined the panel discussion on youth-led community resilience initiatives with representatives from the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities, LGU-SALCEDO MDRRMO, and Greenpeace Philippines – Eastern Samar Volunteer Group.
Highlighting Oxfam’s work on Just Energy Transition (JET) and RE-Start Campaign 4 in the coastal communities of Hilabaan and Tikling in Dolores, the discussion placed an emphasis and appreciation of people-centered climate action.
