Oxfam Pilipinas is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Rosario “Lot” Felizco, as its new Executive Director.
Felizco has over 30 years of experience working in the development sector, and has served in various leadership roles in Oxfam, including as country director with Oxfam Great Britain, policy director with Oxfam Hong Kong, and most recently as country director for Oxfam in the Philippines, during which she shepherded the transition of the Oxfam International presence in the Philippines into Oxfam Pilipinas and served as its interim Executive Director.

“We are incredibly proud to welcome back Lot as Executive Director, as her return is motivated by a solid commitment to Oxfam’s mission in the Philippines and globally,” said Peter Angelo Perfecto, president of the Oxfam Pilipinas Board of Trustees.
“We believe this dedication is a quality that makes her uniquely suited to lead Oxfam Pilipinas at this critical juncture,” Perfecto added.
Felizco holds a master’s degree in social anthropology of development from the University of London and a bachelor’s degree in community development from the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman.
“We are thrilled to welcome [Lot] as Oxfam Pilipinas’ Executive Director. As a long-time partner, we look forward to many more years of collaboration, growth, and success as we work together on our shared journey toward achieving Gender Justice,” said Noraisah Sani, executive director of Al Mujaadila Women’s Association.
As executive director, Felizco will guide Oxfam Pilipinas through critical transitions, including the final stages of affiliation that will establish Oxfam Pilipinas as an independent affiliate or member organization of Oxfam International, which currently has 21 members globally.
